Santo Domingo, República Dominicana. — En un ambiente de diálogo constructivo, respeto mutuo y compromiso social, Ana Vargas realizó una visita de cortesía al presidente del Consejo Nacional de Discapacidad (CONADIS), Benny E. Metz Muñoz, así como a los miembros de este importante organismo.
El encuentro permitió intercambiar ideas y perspectivas sobre la importancia de continuar impulsando iniciativas orientadas a promover la inclusión, la equidad y el bienestar de las personas con discapacidad en la República Dominicana.
Ana Vargas es bachiller en Psicología, certificada como Coach Internacional en Programación Neurolingüística (PNL), escritora y coach para padres con hijos especiales. Durante la visita, compartió su experiencia y visión sobre el acompañamiento a familias que viven la realidad del autismo, destacando la necesidad de fortalecer los espacios de orientación, apoyo emocional y formación.
Asimismo, resaltó su trayectoria como coautora de los libros Elígete a ti y Aprenda a decir no para decirte sí a ti, ambos fundamentados en la Programación Neurolingüística (PNL), donde aborda temas como la resiliencia, el autocuidado y la importancia de establecer límites saludables, especialmente desde su experiencia como madre de hijos con necesidades especiales.
En la obra Aprenda a decir no para decirte sí a ti, su capítulo lleva por título Yo no soy la Mujer Maravilla, soy una maravilla de mujer, en el que desarrolla reflexiones sobre el crecimiento personal y cómo transformar los momentos difíciles en oportunidades para evolucionar y fortalecerse.
Durante la reunión también se valoró la importancia de seguir creando alianzas entre instituciones públicas, profesionales y líderes sociales, con el propósito de impulsar políticas y acciones que contribuyan a una sociedad más humana, accesible y participativa.
Esta visita reafirma la relevancia del trabajo conjunto entre los diferentes sectores, sumando esfuerzos para construir una República Dominicana más inclusiva, consciente y solidaria con las necesidades de todos sus ciudadanos.
Courtesy Visit Strengthens Inclusion and Social Commitment

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and perspectives on the importance of continuing to promote initiatives aimed at fostering inclusion, equity, and the well-being of people with disabilities in the Dominican Republic.
Ana Vargas holds a degree in Psychology, is certified as an International Coach in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), is an author, and a coach for parents of children with special needs. During the visit, she shared her experience and vision regarding support for families living with autism, emphasizing the need to strengthen spaces for guidance, emotional support, and education.
She also highlighted her work as co-author of the books Choose Yourself and Learn to Say No to Say Yes to Yourself, both based on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), where she addresses topics such as resilience, self-care, and the importance of setting healthy boundaries, especially from her experience as a mother of children with special needs.
In the book Learn to Say No to Say Yes to Yourself, her chapter is titled I Am Not Wonder Woman, I Am a Wonderful Woman, in which she reflects on personal growth and how to transform difficult moments into opportunities to evolve and become stronger.
During the meeting, the importance of continuing to build alliances between public institutions, professionals, and social leaders was also emphasized, with the goal of promoting policies and actions that contribute to a more humane, accessible, and participatory society.
This visit reaffirms the importance of joint efforts among different sectors, combining resources and commitment to build a more inclusive, aware, and supportive Dominican Republic for all its citizens.
